Hello people! Greetings from the land of kangaroos and Koala Bear, Australia!
Last week 4/3/12 i too the night flight (Singapore Airlines) :P from Singapore to Brisbane.
It was my first time taking night fight and also the longest flight of about 8hours 15minutes.
The plane was flooded with Japaneses.
Everyone(my classmates) were separated and i sat beside a Japanese teacher. o.O
Watched Real Steel and Big Bang Theory.
Was too tired and fell asleep. =x
Halfway through the flight, a female Japanese student fainted in the toilet and was given a oxygen mask.
So i was awake by the movement of the teacher, who needs to take care of her.
Well i was frustrated but yet pity the teacher.
Reached Brisbane Airport at around 7.45.
The customs were really strict and they look so fierce. -.-
The secretary of Griffith University was nice to help us arrange transport to our apartment.
We stay at Meriton Apartment in Gold Coast.

Settled down and went for grocery shopping.
Had Korean food and it was hmm ok? HAHA!(too fussy =x)
So there goes my first day in Australia.
5 March 2012 (2 Day) Monday
Cab to school and was shocked at the rate.
Every 3 seconds the meter will jump 10cents.
The total amount was about 3x Aussie.
Dr Gary and Dr Shai brought us around the campus to have a feel of there.
Then, we had our induction program.
I was shocked once again that i don't have to go lab :(
My project was on influenza virus (H1N1,H5N1) Familiar?
It was the virus that killed so many people world wide.
I was told to use the computer from my whole OITP :(
Computational BioChemistry Science.
After, we went to the career fair and it was more of a motivational talk kind of thing. =x
Cab home again as we do not have the "go" card (their ez-link card).
6 March 2012 (3 Day) Tuesday
Cab to school again -.-
Heart pain sia! The amount of money we spend on transport!
Started on our project.
Our supervisor,Jeff Dayson, was nice. :)
Started on some tutorials on codes using unix(a software for proteins and stuff).
Got our "go" card and took the bus home.
Their bus have specific timing whereby if it states 7.15 it will come around that time.
Unlike Singapore, that have bus coming every few minutes and people still complaining. -.-
Their bus comes every half an hour if miss.
Our apartment have swimming pool :)
So Yu Sen(My partner/Classmate) and i went for a swim.
Swam 20laps and did 10push ups and we're dead. HAHA!
Cooked fried rice for dinner.
Did log book and slept!

Went to school as usual , and did tutorials.
Nothing much..

Went grocery shopping at Australia Fair.
Had Hungry Jack for dinner!
Hungry Jack is like their MacDonald there!

Nothing much..more or less the same haha!
10 March 2012 (7 Day) Saturday
Here comes the more interesting part!
That day, we went DreamWorld! (Theme park at Queensland)
They have 5 "Themeparks"
First we played "The claw".
It looks not scary, but! when i sat on it, my balls drop!
No joke! we were spinning in the air and going sideways.
Something like a pendulum.
The scary part was when we go backwards down. -.-
My face was quite pale when i came down.Feeling so relieved.
Then we head to another ride.
It was turning fast and we are going sideways horizontally.
After the ride, my stomach was going crazy..
Went to vomit and rest for a few rides before continue with the other rides.
It was the first time i try these rides in my life.(I've never play any rides before)
I know very noob right ? Haha!
Went to see Kangaroos and Koala Bear!
So cuteeeeee!
Touch the Kangaroos and took a picture with it.
The Koala Bears were all stuck on the trees sleeping :(
Had Subway for dinner.
2 footlong and drinks for 16aussie? Damn Worth it!
Home and slept! (shag!)
11 March 2012 (7 Day) Sunday
Woke up..had a bowl of instant noodle for breakfast =x
Went to Harbour Town to shop.
All i can say is that it is 2 times the size of Vivocity!
Had Macdonald for Lunch! Aus Mac > Singapore Mac .
Though their sauce have to pay =(
Bought two shorts from their country brand.
Wanted to get the ripcurl broadshorts, but the thought of saving money.. :(
So i gave up the idea.
Went Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren.
The sizes were too big for me!
Nvm i shall head back there to get some polos for my sister, Dad and Mum.
Still thinking what to buy for my Brother though..

Went school..Did more work and feel accomplished :D
Grocery Shopping at Australia Fair again!
I love grocery shopping..I always do it in Singapore too!
Reached home around 7plus and cooked rice(i think).

Nothing much...As usual, went school and stuff..
14 March 2012 (10 Day) Wednesday
Went school and continue with my research project.
Once again feeling happy :D
Went home around 3 as we finished our work!
Another supervisor came back today and will start on Molecular Dynamics tomorrow!
I think i swam a few days but forgotten when..haha nvm!
The transport here sure is expensive!
The minimum amount for a bus ride is 3.15 compared to 73cents in Singapore?
Loving the weather here!
Eventhough the sun is bright, but the strong wind sure compensate the heat for it! HAHA
Everytime the wind blows, i will have the feel to sail.
I really miss sailing :(
